Howdy, I’m Benjy Braude
(they rhyme)
I’m a photographer, teacher, drummer, and traveler living in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate in my life to get to experience so many different sides of what the world has to offer, and over the last five years I’ve done my best to use my camera capture that life as vividly as I’ve been so lucky to live it.
Between having been a high school science teacher, a marching percussion instructor and performer, and an eager traveler, photography has fit my life like a glove. Each of those aspects of my life has been full of incredible people and ever-changing scenery, and having the chance to document those people and places has brought me a whole new type of joy and fulfillment.
Outside of photography I have a wide range of experience in the music world as well, specifically centered around marching percussion. I’ve worked with numerous high schools, universities, and independent drum corps and indoor percussion groups across the country, and been fortunate enough to play with many groups of similar renown.
Some of my proudest roles in the marching music world include my time directing and arranging for the Indiana University Marching Hundred Drumline, performing with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, working with Center Grove High School, and performing with the Indianapolis Colts Drumline.
I’m proud to currently work with the following musical groups and companies:
Sacramento Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps
Rhythm X
Innovative Percussion
Beetle Percussion
